we are lucky to have these circuits in South Wales. There also used to be Saturday morning crits at Llanwern (Newport) in the steel works site but I think they stopped in around 2000 when the works shut. that was a good circuit with some pretty iffy corners!! We could have done, and still could do, with something more purpose built like the circuit at Hillingdon in West London with a short, sharp incline.

Great video! It took me around 11 hours and 30 minutes in the heat, it was only just before the alpe when I realised I had to to throw water on my head. After that the alpe “only” took me 1 hour and 15 minutes (58min pr). By far the hardest ride I have ever done. Hats of to you!

Congratulations! My wife and I are enthusiastic recreational cyclists. We road Mount Ventoux about 15 years ago form Crillon Le Brave to Bedoin to Ventoux. Following along with your video, I relived our ride. Of course, it took us significantly longer but we felt like champs when we made the summit.

Saw my first ever snowbanks on the Gotthard 2 weeks ago. It's a sight to behold. I've been in the alps probably 40+ times, but almost always in peak summer. Few times in late spring and the fall, but never saw the snowbanks until 2 weeks ago. The locals in Switzerland also told me they hadn't seen so much snow that late for many years.
